Introduction

MPI felt very privileged to be invited to the home of a famous member of a group from the music scene.
We had a warm welcome from him and his family, and will refer them as Mr. and Mrs? As identity we shall withhold.
Mr.? Explained that the Staffordshire bull terrier would scratch and open the wardrobe door in the bedroom. In the study the keyboard on the computer has been heard tapping out, although no one was in the study. Objects have been moved without explanation.
The bungalow was built around 1940 and Mr and Mrs? Have lived there for ten years, and felt it was time for some answers to their mysteries.

Mr and Mrs? Did not accompany us on this investigation. We were joined by Beryl, Len and Kevin.

Team Report

At 9.00pm we commenced our first Vigil

Vigil 1 The Lounge

EMF reading 1.0 by the window temperature 22 degrees all around.
Val asks how everyone is feeling in this room and Louise feels she is being followed by a little girl and feels sad; she has pressure pushing on her. Steen’s heart is racing and he has pressure on his head and chest, Jim is feeling sick and giddy also feels the pressure and can smell burning followed by him being cold. Ken finds it hard to breathe and that everything is closing in on him.
Val feels ok but says the ceiling is to low she has a headache and feels trapped. Beryl and Kevin are ok although Len has tingling in his arms.
Val calls out for spirit to come forward and Louise senses someone on her back like a child would do at play, Jim says the girl is aged between 6 and 8 and is holding something in her hands. There is a gentleman with her. The girl is holding a doll. Val is given the name of Alice. Jim feels the girl is very plainly dressed but dirty, sooty clothes, her hair below the collar. Steen senses a fire and can see burning everywhere, buildings coming down, he feels sick and senses the little girl touch his elbow.
Jim says Alice died looking for her dolly date he is given is 1920. The male presence is aged 30-40 and died of illness.
Val says Alice has a dog somewhat like a small terrier and Alice calls the dog Poppy, she died holding the dog. Val also senses terraced houses 1920’s style.
Steen feels trapped by a beam as he can sense heaviness diagonally across his chest, trapped in a fire. Jim feels trapped and feels smoke inhalation killed Alice. He senses bombings.
During Val writing these vigil notes, she noticed 3 unexplainable scribbles appear on the sheet W or sideways E further along N and at the bottom 2.
Séance held by all joining hands with Jim calling to spirit. We all take a break at 10-45pm.

Vigil 2 The Study

EMF reading 1.00 inside left wardrobe 2.0 Temperature 22 degrees all around.

Steen standing with his back to the wardrobes and in the centre feels like he is being pulled backward with some force and he is sweating. Then of a sudden feels he is forcefully pushed forward. Louise feels exhausted and says she has a sensation of a nose bleed although never actually had one in real life. Ken and Jim are feeling ok in here. Val visualises earthen pots lying around and houses two up and two down type. Feels like marshes are around and also feels there is a windmill a wooden one.
Steen feels a cold draught from the cupboard although there are no windows. Temperature reading 24 deg on the left cupboard and 23 degrees on the right cupboard.
Val and Steen take turns calling to spirit to join with them, but nothing is seen or heard. Val, Ken and Louise left the room leaving Steen and Jim alone. Both felt it was wartime a lot of noise and panicking around with Jim saying Alice was definatetely here and she was aged 6. No other occurrences in this room.
Back in the lounge we held a short discussion with Jim saying there was an adult with Alice perhaps a mother or father, Steen has pins and needles and feels his face, he explains he is burnt on one side and puts his hand to his face. Jim senses a man to the side of Steen age 39-45 slim build in a military uniform; he wears a black chat with the letters ARP written across it. He also senses horses long before this wartime era, a lot of hay stacked up maybe Romans.

Vigil 3 The Bedroom

We were joined in the bedroom with our four legged staffie lying on the bed. Val calls out for spirit to join with us and a sound was heard by the dressing table. Val was standing in front of the radiator and felt the cover move. Val calls out again and Louise who was sitting on the bed felt the bed move. Val was asking spirit again to come forward to copy her by knocking on the radiator cover, as her hand went down to knock it something knocked it before her. Steen feels as though his left hand is being crushed. All members sense the presence of a man at the same time Steen has an intense headache.
He senses a woman in her thirties, brunette and has the name of Charlotte Eames. Val calls out to Charlotte but there is no reply. Val picks up on a French man she taps on the wall and asks spirit to copy her, but there is no reply. Louise feels very uneasy with Steen standing beside her, so Steen and Val swap positions. Steen hears people arguing but there is no one around. Ken is pacing up and down, asked him why he was doing this and he didn’t know he was. Val standing by the door with the camcorder she sees a flash of light to the right side of her face. Steen senses a man by the name of Victor in here and starts to talk to him but there is no response.
Val asks Alice to come and play, to stroke the dog on the bed or move the teddies that were lying on the bed. Nothing happened. Val opened the wardrobe door to see if this would disturb the dog, but to no avail. No other occurrences in this room.

Pack up and leave at 2.00am.

Conclusion

This is a beautiful bungalow but we felt it was built the wrong way round. The lounge felt as though it should have been at the front with an entrance door to the side of it. Somehow the rooms did not appear to be in the right places. We believe that whoever came through to us on the night were from different time zones, from the Roman era up to WW2. Alice the dear little girl found peace living here, along with her own dog “Poppy”. She may be mischievous at times, but it is her way of saying I am here.

MPI would like to thank Mr and Mrs? For allowing us the opportunity to investigate their home, thank you to Beryl, (for the tea all through the night) and Len, Kevin and Staffie for their hospitality and for making us all so very welcome.

Personal Reports

Valerie Butler

Lounge

This room I felt quite at home in, a lounge area one end, up a step to the dining area at the other. I had the feeling of this being one main through room of the bungalow, and all other rooms being built around it. While sitting in here I felt as though I was sitting in a small terraced house of years gone by.
I called to spirit to come forward to join with me but nothing happened, although the Staffordshire bull terrier came to me to play. I felt quite comfortable for a while then had the feeling I was trapped, I wanted to push the ceiling up higher and the need for fresh air. I experienced another room should have been above and all was pushing down on me.

Study

Again I felt this room was not connected to the bungalow. I seemed to be in another time world. I could see earthenware pots scattered around some of them were broken. Then again I could see a row of dingy terraced houses with very small front gardens. Like a blip in time I was standing in the countryside with marshes all around me and I could see a big old fashioned wooden windmill. Back into the room now I called to spirit but nothing happened. I did not like this room but cannot say why I have no explanation at all for this.

Bedroom

Although this room was bright and pretty with a four poster bed I felt a little depressed. While recording on the camcorder I saw a long flash of light to the right hand side of my face but nothing was there. I was leaning gently on the radiator cover asking for spirit to copy me if I tapped on it, before my hand touched it everyone heard a loud tap tap tap on the cover and thought it was me but I had not touched it. I opened the wardrobe door hoping the dog would stir from his sleep, but he was not disturbed. I did not experience anything unusual in this room.

Conclusion

The bungalow to me felt all hickerty pickerty as if I wanted to re-arrange all of the rooms. The spirit of a little girl named Alice is quite prominent here; a little girl who I feel finds comfort from those who live here. The only worry she has is from the dog that lives here, not for herself, but for her own dog Poppy. I feel Alice will always be around, this is her domain and always will be.

Jim Arnold

During the look around the house before the investigation I checked the EMF reading which was reading between 1 & 2 throughout the building.
I entered the study and felt very hot, smelt burning. I picked up on wartime bombing, fire, and the feeling of being trapped, with a difficulty of breathing. Throughout the walk round I felt I was being followed and my back felt very cold, I also felt sad in places

Vigil 1 The Lounge

Here in the lounge I picked on the presence of a little girl standing behind Louise. She looked around 7-8, and dressed in a plain grey dress; she looked to be holding what looked like a handmade doll.
I also felt there was a man standing near Steen, he looked about 6foot.
I asked for us to form a circle, I immediately felt I wanted to cry, but could not understand why, again I found it hard to breath, and started swaying back and forth, as if I wanted to walk forward. I found the place was very busy, lots of rushing about. Just as we were about to finish I saw what looked like a lady standing in the corner behind Ken. Val stopped the séance, as she thought there may be stress amongst us and nothing more from me was felt.

Vigil 2 The Study

After Val brought the vigil to an end Steen and I entered the office, where I picked on someone who looked like a young male teenager watching from the corner. I also picked up on a young girl. Steen said he felt someone small by his side.
I asked for any spirit person to make themselves known to us by making a sound. Steen said someone had squeezed his hand, or finger.
I suggested that we try to get a response by asking questions and a yes to be given with a squeeze of his hand, this was ok with Steen and I asked some questions.
As Val had picked up on the name of Alice earlier I started with that.

Q is your name Alice?
A Steen said he felt as if his hand was squeezed, and we took it as yes.
Q how old are you, are you 6?
A, yes.
Q do you like it here?
A yes
Q do you play games?
A yes
Q is your Mummy or Daddy here
A no response
Q do you have a dolly with you?
A, yes
Q do you like the dog here?
A yes
Q do you like Laura (Mrs?)
A yes
Steen and I had no further response from her, and apart from picking up on someone wearing an ARP uniform, I felt it was time to leave the room.

Vigil 3 The Bedroom

I was finding it very difficult to hold back, so again during the vigil I felt very little in here. I did feel there was someone who I believed was a Pearly Prince, and they spoke in rhyming slang.
I was picking up on someone being near Louise, when I asked her if she could feel anyone near her, she become panicky.
Steen said he felt a man dressed in military uniform, in a grey/blue coat, I asked Steen if he was wearing a trench coat, Steen said he believed so, I said I believed him to be from the American air force, but stopped here, and felt nothing more.

Study

When I first arrived at the location and I entered through the front door, I was immediately drawn to the first room on the left, of which I later realized was the study. When I entered the room I got a strong smell of smoke. My eyes filled with tears and I had to stop myself from crying. I felt there had been a fire here and kept on putting my head up to make it easier for me to breath, I wanted to grab my throat as if I was gasping for air.

Lounge

Sitting in the lounge I picked up on a young girl aged about 6-8 years. I felt her climbing all over my back as if she wanted to play with me. This room made me feel really ill and sick. I had to go out and get some fresh air. I then felt ok until I returned I felt a lot of pressure on my head and was getting uncomfortably hot.

Bedroom

I sat on the bed in here and felt very scared. Steen was standing next to me and I felt very overpowered by him and scared of him. I did not want him anywhere near me, I felt his arm was out and he was pointing at me. Ken, Steen and Jim swapped places but I felt exactly the same. Jim spoke to me but I found his voice to be making me even more nervous. I felt very intimidated by the men in here. Why I do not know.

Throughout this investigation I felt the bungalow to be very busy, I felt hot and sick the whole time I was in here. I had the feeling that this young girl followed me around at all times; she was very fond of me. I sensed she was linked to the fire and the smoke made her fall asleep. The bungalow was weirdly laid out to me it all seemed backwards, I felt very trapped and wanted to push the walls and ceilings away, open windows and just get air to breath.

Vigil 1 The Lounge

The living room had to be the busiest room in the house. I don’t feel that most of the activity was coming from the house, but the surrounding area and any activity from the house was from before it was built.
When we started the vigil I felt sick and had pains in my stomach. Jim could feel the presence of an older man who died of an illness. My pains lifted after Jim acknowledged him as being there.
I then felt the presence of a small girl on my left hand side (kind of hiding behind me peering round). At this time I could feel the presence of a tall man to my right looking over my shoulder. I could feel a pressure across my torso (top left to bottom right) and believe the man was crushed to death. I also felt the presence of fire and burning.
I could also see a woman about 35/40 with long, brown, curly hair standing in the dining area. The name ‘Charlotte Eames’ came to mind and I believe she was a nurse. She was wearing ’20 style clothing and I believe she had something to do with the girl as she appeared to be watching her play with Louise.
I also felt an animal brushing against my left leg, as if it was walking past me.

Vigil 2 The Study

I was standing in front of a rather large mirror and could feel myself being pulled towards it. I turned around and stared into the mirror. In the mirror I could see the image of a man about 30, my height, slimmer and short hair. I could see that the left side of his face was burnt and his hair was singed (I could also feel a pressure on the same place on my face and my left ear had ‘pooped’).

I then stood in front of the office door. I could feel the presence of the girl again around my left hand side. Jim asked if her name was ‘Alice’ and I felt a squeeze on my hand. Jim then asked various questions and asked her to squeeze my hand once for yes and twice for no:
• How old are you? – I felt a squeeze (Yes).
• Are you 6? – I felt quite an intense squeeze (Yes).
• Do you have a dolly with you? – I felt a squeeze (Yes).
• Do you have a dog? – I felt a squeeze (Yes).
• Do you like it here? – I felt a very hard squeeze (Yes).
• Do you play in the house? – I felt a squeeze (Yes).
• Do you like Mrs ? (Owner)? – I felt a very intense squeeze (Yes).
• Is there someone else here? – I felt a squeeze on my finger (Yes).
• Is it your mummy? – I felt a squeeze (Yes).
• Is there anyone here you don’t like? – Nothing (No).

Vigil 3 The Bedroom

In here I could feel the presence of an officer standing in the corner watching us and waiting to be acknowledged. I could see that he was wearing a blue thick woollen trench coat and a blue flat-top military hat. Jim asked me to look at his chest and look what was there; I could see a ‘golden wings’ badge and a strip of black, white and green stripes. The name of ‘Victor’ came to mind.
I cleared my mind of my surroundings and concentrated on ‘Victor’ and had a vision of ‘his time’. It was night, raining hard, and I could hear explosions in the distance. There was lots of screaming and crying. I could see ‘Victor’, he was crying and frantically pulling rubble from a house looking for something or someone. There was a loud rumble and I felt the pressure on my chest again; I believe the house had caved in.

Conclusion

This was an amazing investigation and I feel I picked up on a lot!!

Although I pickup on a lot of spirit presences, I don’t feel that they came from the house, but the whole surrounding area. I feel that the spirits that belong here are that of Alice, Charlotte and the Dog.

I believe this area was heavily bombed during one of the wars and as we were here investigating, the spirits wanted us to acknowledge them.

Ken Taylor

I set two infra red cameras in place one in the bedroom and one in the study, the monitors being in the lounge connected to DVD recorders. All baseline tests were completed before the investigation started.
I have scrutinized the recordings and found nothing unusual on the live infra red cameras.
