Laura Brown Introduction
This is a large establishment with many reported mysterious happenings by many members of the staff. We could not investigate the whole building as it was a vast area to cover in just one night, so MPI investigated the most notorious rooms that had paranormal activity. The educational building was built in the early 1900’s and has seen many changes over the years. The old part having retained its originality.

Vigil 1 Tourism and Travel Room 1 and 2
Room 1
EMF reading 0 Temperature 21-23 degrees
Val called out to spirit to come forward and join with us, Pat sees a flash of light by the bookcase. Val calls out again and a small tap is heard by all. Pat feels cold across her knees. Avril said she feels drugged and tired. Pat calls to spirit; a light is seen in the small window on the door. Val feels a slight touch on her shoulder and shivers. Pat heard a chair move. All hear a tapping sound followed by singing. No other occurrences in this room.
Room 2
EMF reading 0 Temperature 21 degrees all around.
Pat and Val take turns in asking spirit to come forward no response. Val is given the name of Mr Thompson. Pat has a sudden headache which went when we left the area. Val is feeling sick in here. Pat and Val smell tobacco, a scented type that came and went and was quite strong at times.
No other occurrences here.
Vigil 2 Flat and Corridors
EMF Reading 0 Temperature 22 degrees.
Left side corridor we sat on the stairs and held an Ouija séance and asked many questions.

The Flat EMF Reading 0 Temperature 21 degrees.
Despite asking spirit to come forward nothing came through although we did feel uncomfortable in here. Upon leaving the flat making our way to the stairs we all heard a bang like a heavy door slamming shut and the voices of two males, Val had confirmation that there was no one in this vicinity at all.

EMF Reading 0Temperature 22 degrees
We sat on the stairs and held an Ouija séance. Val tried to communicate with spirit by asking question but nothing came through. Karen’s face felt hot as though it was burning. Val felt someone was close by us. Pat and Val have a headache and Karen feels really sick and says someone has been following her. Val has the name of George Benson in mind.
Karen has a really sick headache so we decided to leave this area.
Vigil 3
Performing Arts Centre
EMF Reading 0 Temperature 19.4
We held a séance in here by joining hands, no response; we then tried table tipping again with no response. Val called to spirit, then Pat, but all was quiet. We tried an Ouija séance and although the glass moved in circles and went to the letter T and then to S every other move did not make any sense. No other occurrences in here.
Vigil 4 HR and Learner Services

EMF 0 to 10. Temperature 22.2 average.
While Val sat in the chair behind the desk the EMF was reading 1.0 then shot up to 5.0. The reading in front of the drawers was 3.0 Val placed the EMF meter under the right side worktop where there were no plugs or wires and brought the meter to the middle of the window, in these areas it spiked at 10.0 there was no explanation for this. Val asks spirit to come forward and at that moment the EMF switched off, only to come on again after a few seconds. Val had a headache in here. Karen, Avril and Par felt ok. No other occurrences.
Learner Services Room
EMF 0 Temperature reading 24.2
We all sat at a table and tried automatic handwriting, although the pen moved around there was no significant to the scribble. Pat hears a shuffle and called out to spirit. Karen feels a young child in here. Val has been given the name of Miss Perkins and feels really drained in here. Karen calls to spirit but there is no response. No other occurrences in here.

Vigil 1 Flat and Corridors
Flat
EMF 0 Temperature 19.9
Becky feels drawn to the lounge area, Simon and Becky taking turns calling to spirit, no response. We stood in a circle in the lounge and held hands. Jacqi was feeling a finger going down her spine after I had called out. We seemed to be getting responses to questions that I asked. We determined it was a female who had children that died in a fire here, but did not respond to dates. Becky felt someone blow on her face when we asked if it was the seventeenth century. Emma and Becky felt a breeze on their hands but could be a draught from the loft hatch which was opened. We asked spirit if she was lonely and we had the answer yes. Asked again was she on her own again the answer yes. Emma said if spirit was lonely and wanted to cross over and if she could see a light then she could cross. Jacqi felt another response. We then moved the circle around and no more was felt.
Corridor
All hear footsteps along the corridor. Simon sees movement by the door at the far end where the cupboard is. Simon stood in the cupboard and saw a green light flash on the wall the size approximately that of a five pence piece, he also mentioned a fire.
Vigil 2 Tourism and Travel Rooms 1 and 2
Room 1
EMF Reading 0 Temperature 21.4-22.0 degrees
Jacqi, Simon feeling calm. Jacqi feels a headache coming on. Emma feels a strange pressure on her head like pushing down. Jacqi is drawn to the far side of the room like she is waiting for someone to appear. Becki also feels pressure to the back of her neck and into her head. All team attempt table tipping and when asking for communication a slight vibration is felt on the table. We all take turns in removing our hands to see if vibration continues, some slight movement but not consistent. We placed a coin on the table and asked spirit to move it no response. Becki saw a shadow go from Emma to the corner of the room. No other occurrences.
Room 2
EMF 0 Temperature 10.3 degrees
The temperature by Emma kept changing 22.0 to 26.0 degrees. Becki saw a twinkle of light either above Emma’s head or on the wall. Emma felt a tingling on her neck. Emma and Simon changed places in the room, Simon felt as though someone was pulling on his chest but very slightly. Jacqi feels emotionally empty. Becky could not sit in the chair by the door she felt someone was behind it.

EMF 0 Temperature 25.0-26.0 degrees.
We tried automatic handwriting in here and we all felt as though the pen moved slightly around in a circle. The pen then made a small straight line. Everyone feels fine in this room. No other occurrences.

We held glass divination in here with Emma calling out to spirit; Jacqi fells the glass move slightly. Emma tells spirit to use collective energy and Becki, Jacqi and Emma feel the glass move. Becki calls out to spirit and the glass moves side to side. Jim calls out and everyone feels hotter although the temperature reading is the same as before. No other occurrences and all team feel calm.

We all held an Ouija séance in this room. Emma asked spirit to spell their name and the planchette moved to W Y A X then asked some more questions.

We managed to establish he had 4 sisters and 3 brothers and his surname began with L. He went to Becki and said he knew her from a family friend and planchette spells out S D I N Y, he says he cannot spell properly. Then spelt E H L M asked if this was a distant family member and he said no then spelt out E I L Y. Jacqi knew someone with that surname, further communication we found that Becki reminded him of his mother, she looked like her. We asked if he wanted to play some more and the answer was yes. He said he was with his family and is happy and told us we should go now and then pointed to good-bye. No other information came through.

Vigil 1 Performing Arts Centre
EMF 0 Temperature 19.9 degrees
Jim felt a chill toward the end of the hall and the temperature dropped to 18.8 degrees. We all held a séance in here with Jim calling out, no response. Robert, Graham and Jim felt something behind them near the stage. Graham calls to spirit and then feels colder and that the centre of the table seemed darker. We all heard noises from around the hall that were unexplainable, Graham sees a flickering light. Jim felt there was a lady between Robert and Graham, and asked for them to be touched. Robert felt something touch his head.
Jim asked spirit why he was seeing dog ornaments. Jim then asked why he was being told Robert should take his hat off and did this make any sense to Robert. Robert said yes it did make sense. Graham said it was Roberts Grandmother she also thought it to be rude to sit at a table with a hat on. Jim asked Robert to take his hat off and once he had done this his Grandmother was gone. The room seemed to be lighter now but we all felt that someone was still with us.

EMF 0 Temperature 24.5 degrees
We all felt very warm throughout this room. All heard some clicks bt could have been the table. Then we tried the automatic hand writing planchette, no occurrences. Joined hands in a circle with Graham calling out to spirit nothing came through, we all felt fine in this room.

EMF 0 Temperature 24.0 degrees.
Robert got a reading on the EMF of 3 by the chair at the desk. Jim calls to spirit and felt someone had pushed him. Robert then said he felt as though someone had pushed him back, Jim asked spirit to push someone else and Robert said he was still being pushed. Jim asked spirit again to push someone else and Mary-Lou felt like she was being pushed. Mary-Lou and Jim heard clicking from the right hand side of the room. Graham said the silver balls on the desk were moving this was seen by both Robert and Jim. Nothing else happened in here.
Vigil 3 Tourism and Travel
Room 2
Jim felt drawn to go into this room but found nothing, Robert said one side of his face was hot. Jim heard someone say children but cannot explain why. Looking toward room 1 it seemed to be darker now. Jim felt there was a male teacher here; he could see chalk and a blackboard. Robert and Mary-Lou hear noises coming from room 1.
Room 1
Jim asked if anyone felt anything and Robert said it seemed to smell different. Temperature changes in three different places on one wall. We all sat around a table and Jim asked Mary-Lou to hold hands and if she could see anything, she said she could see a woman either wearing a flower or holding a flower. Jim called out and Robert said he could see a boy wearing a tweed suit. Jim asked the spirit to communicate with us and Robert felt as though someone had pulled his shirt. Jim asked if the spirit was a boy and for a few moments no response then Robert felt his shirt pulled again.
Vigil 4 Flat and Corridors
Flat
EMF Reading 0 Temperature22.8 degrees
We went into all 3 rooms Robert said he felt strange in the larger room and did not like the space behind the door. We all stood in this space, Graham thought he could see something in the corner but did not know what. Jim thought he could hear breathing. Graham and Robert were ok throughout but did not like the larger room. Mary-Lou did not like the flat at all. Graham said he would not go back into the larger room as he felt funny in the corner. Jim felt like he wanted to throw something at the wall. Robert began to feel unwell and Jim assisted him and asked spirit to leave Robert alone, after a few moments Robert was feeling ok.
Corridors.
EMF 0 Temperature 20.4 degrees
In the corridor that runs along the flat Mary-Lou felt as though someone was there and that she felt anguish. Robert did not like the feelings he was getting on the stairs. No other occurrences here.

Vigil 1 HR and Learner Services

EMF 0 Temperature 24.0 degrees
Laura feels calm and relaxed and everyone feels the same. The temperature dropped to 23.6 degrees. Steen feels cold on his back. Louise noticed a filing cabinet drawer was open we closed it to see if it would open again. Steen and Louise feel the room was used as a waiting room, Louise felt the room had a hospital feel. When we first entered the room it was very quiet with no sounds however the clock on the wall is clearly heard by us all. Steen’s back is now really cold. Steen, Louise and Gary feel as though someone is going to walk in. Louise calls to spirit to move the files on the shelf, no response, Steen tries calling out again there is no response.

EMF 0 Temperature 19-20 degrees.
Louise and Laura feel cold in here while Steen and Gary feel fine. Everyone feels less depressed in this room compared to the other one. Steen calls out to spirit and asks for the clock to be stopped, no response. Louise calls out but again no response.
Vigil 2 Performing Arts Centre
EMF 0 Temperature Reading 16.7 degrees
We all felt ok when entering this room, then Gary heard a bang from the back of the hall. Laura calls out to spirit no response. Steen feels perfectly fine in here. Gary, Laura and Louise hear a bang from outside the door Gary went to check nothing there. The team try glass divination séance. Steen is filming and picks up on shadows from under the door. The temperature feels as though it has dropped around the table and we feel a lot of energy build up around us. Louise feels the table is trying to move round in a circle. Steen feels like there is an energy moving around and that the energy was behind him while filming. Steen senses a priest or someone religious, earlier in the vigil Laura’s thoughts were of church bells. We take turns in calling out but there is no response, Steen throws a coin and asked for it back again no response. The group separate and walk around Laura sees a shadow in the opening of the curtains, then saw a white line that appeared to be moving. Gary is now feeling cold. No other occurrences.
Vigil 3 Flat and Corridors

EMF 0 Temperature 16.8-17.2 degrees
Gary feels something is not quite right in here. Louise feels odd and does not like the feeling in here. Steen calls out and Laura feels uncomfortable and says this is not a happy home. None of us like the doorway, Louise walks into the corridor and did not feel at ease and came back sharply. We do not want to be in the room but do not want to walk through the door; all of us are focussed on the doorway. Louise calls out but nothing is heard but she senses anger. Louise heard a click in the side room top right hand of stairs. Laura senses torment here.

One room off the corridor is where no one wants to sit, Steen has a headache and |Louise feels all goose bumps. Gary felt someone prod him in the back
Left hand corridor
We sat on the steps here and Louise hears a dragging sound, all group hear faint footsteps as though they were coming from another level up. No other activity here.
Vigil 4 Tourism and Travel
Room 1
Temperature EMF 0 18.3 degrees
Gary has a cold chill down his left arm and Steen feels a breeze a few moments later. Steen sees a flash of light coming from room 2 and another cold breeze is felt by Gary and Steen. Slight bang heard in room 2 by Gary and Steen. Again Gary feels coldness on his right side.
Room 2
Gary feels apprehensive, Steen calls out to spirit no response then Gary calls out, nothing heard. All hear a bang from room 1. No other occurrences here.

Vigil 1 HR and Learner Services
HR
I sat in the chair at the desk and was getting all different readings on the EMF meter. I then tried different areas of this room but there were no other fluctuations, only high readings again by the desk. I called out to spirit several times but had no response. I again tried the EMF meter and as soon as I switched it on it went dead. A few moments later it came back on again. I started to get a bad headache which went as soon as I had left this room.
Learner Services
I tried automatic handwriting in here then pen only slightly moved with no significance. I had the name of Miss Perkins come to mind and started to feel drained. No other occurrences in here.
Vigil 2 Tourism and Travel
Room 1
I called for spirit to come forward and heard a slight tap. I again called out and then felt something very gently touch my shoulder blade that gave me the shivers. I heard another tap and then followed by singing. No other response found in here
Room 2
I called to spirit several times but found no response. I was also given the name of Mr Thompson and visualized a very stern man. I felt sick in this room and uneasy. I could smell sweet pipe tobacco coming and going. No other occurrences in here.
Vigil 3 Flat and Corridors
I sat on the top of the left hand corridor and joined in with an Ouija séance. Although we seemed to contact a male who gave us the letters D F G M and the year 0 I felt that there was no significant evidence to say spirit was with me.
Flat
I did not like any area of this flat, it was cold, scary and had a heavy feel to it. I called out several times with no response. I felt as though someone was around but keeping a distance and did not want to communicate in any way.
Sitting on top of the right hand corridor steps I was asking for spirit to come forward, I heard two males talking and an almighty bang of a door being slammed shut. I contacted Ken on the walkie talkie to find if there were other members on this floor and he confirmed we were alone. I walked along this corridor and felt I was not alone someone was following me. I tried an Ouija séance here but again as before there was no evidence of any spirit present.
Vigil 4 Performing Arts Centre
I found this centre to be very dark with a creepy atmosphere, and yet at times it appeared to get lighter in places. I tried glass divination and although the glass was moving around there was no evidence to say spirit was present.
Vigil 5 The Dining Hall
All members joined in one séance in here. We all held hands with Jim and myself taking turns in calling for spirit. I felt absolutely fine, then all of a sudden, without reason I started to giggle and it was getting worse. I do not know what I was laughing at, I felt like I wanted to play games and have some fun. The séance closed and as soon as I left the dining hall the giggles left me.

This was an interesting night; I had stayed in the hub with all monitors on watching the teams closely. There were several light anomalies moving about across the screens and in different locations.
I will be interested to see it all on a large screen as all was recorded onto DVD.

Vigil 1 Performing Arts Centre
I entered the hall with the others, and felt OK except for one area at the far end of the hall where I felt cold. I joined the team at the table, Graham, Robert, and I took turns in calling out. I felt that someone was behind Graham and standing near the stage I called out for them to come forward, but at that time nothing happened. Along with the others I heard a number of taps, which could have been anything, but we could not explain them. I kept seeing what looked like a shadow moving around the hall. I called out again and picked up on lots of dog ornaments. I asked if anyone in the team could associate with this Robert said he could. I called out asking for anyone to make contact, by making a noise, or touching one of us. Robert told us he felt like someone touched his head. I felt there was a lady not connected with the school standing between Graham and Robert. I asked Robert why I was being told to tell him to remove his hat at the table. This upset Robert who said it was his grandmother, and she didn’t like that sort of thing. Once he removed it I felt no further contact with her. However I still felt there was someone at the stage watching us.
Vigil 2 HR and Learner Services
Learner Services
I felt nothing in here, and called out several times. I sat at the table with the others and we tried the automatic writer. We tried for some time, but had no response. I along with the others heard a noise, which we could not explain. It sounded like someone tapping the metal shelf.
HR
I stood in this room for a moment, there was a feeling in here, which is the only way I can explain it. I again called out several times, asking for a noise, or to touch one of us Robert told me he felt like someone had pushed him. I said thank you, and asked for it to happen again. Again Robert told me he was pushed so much that he stood against the cupboard. I called out again, this time asking for someone else to be pushed, and to leave Robert.
Robert said it had stopped, and then Mary-Lou said she felt like she had been pushed. After this nothing else was felt by me.
Graham called me over to the table and told me that the item on the desk was moving, this was several silver balls tired up so tight that they could not swing, but I did witness these moving, this could not be explained as no one had touched them or the desk.
Vigil 3 Tourism and Travel
I looked around in room 1first, but felt drawn towards room 2. There was again an unexplained feeling in here. I could smell chalk, and see a chalkboard. I could also feel the presence of a tall man dressed in dark clothes. I also felt someone was standing in the doorway watching us. Along with the others I heard noises coming from room 1 so we all moved in there and sat around a table.
I had feelings of several things in this room. I asked Mary-Lou if she could see anyone. She said she could see a lady wearing or holding a flower. I called out again, this time Robert said he felt his shirt was being tugged, and he could see a boy dressed in a tweed suit.
I called out again, and his shirt was again tugged, I tried to get a conversation going, but without any luck

Vigil 4 Flat and Corridors
I called out in the corridors several times, but felt nothing, then Graham and I hear a strange beeping sound, we thought it was the camcorder, but when I checked it was working fine.
We decide to go upstairs to the flat. I did not like the stairs as I went up, I don’t know why, but there was just a feeling. I walked around all the rooms, and it’s hard to explain, but it was a feeling that felt like it was telling me to go, I didn’t like this place, although I didn’t feel worried about it, just didn’t like it.
I tried all the rooms, Robert felt strange in the lounge I called out, and we moved to the area where Robert said he didn’t like. I asked the team to form a circle.
It was hard to know if it was the shadows were trick of light, or not, but something was in the room with us.
I asked how everybody was feeling, Robert become upset and had to sit on the floor. I asked the presence to leave him alone, after a short time he began to feel OK
I had this strange feeling of wanting to go behind someone grab them and throw them against a wall
.
Vigil 5 The Dining Hall
During the séance I felt I wanted to play children’s games, and felt childish. When Val asked me if I was picking up on anything I said I felt that there was someone standing in the doorway behind Becky.
I called out to them, but they didn’t come forward. I then noticed a shadow go behind Jacqi. I asked her if could feel anything, she said she had the same feeling she had at one of her vigils. I felt nothing more.

This was my first outing as a MPI member and I just was to thank everyone for making me feel so welcome. I had a fantastic night which I won’t be forgetting any time soon! Can’t wait till the next one.
Vigil 1 The Flat and corridors
We entered the flat and I took a turn in calling out, I had no responses but was drawn to the opposite room and felt I may have better luck in there. We all moved to the second room, and formed a circle holding hands, then I heard what sounded like a sigh come from the hallway/room we had just been in. Emma called out, and during this I felt very cold to the back of my hand as it someone had touched me with ice a few seconds. Later I felt a cold breeze go under mine and Emma’s hands. A few times during the calling out I felt very shivery and cold followed by boiling hot and vice versa. We had picked up that the presence was female, and when trying to determine which century she was from, on the seventeenth century I felt a cold blow on my lips as though someone had blown in my face gently. When Emma asked if the sprit had any children I felt extremely cold and shivered.
We left the caretakers rooms and headed up a corridor. While walking up the corridor I heard a noise from behind us from where we had just come. We all then heard several noises; I heard a rustling at first then a noise like a heavy foot step. There was also a clicking noise which we
thought may have been the lights cooling down. When we walked back to the other end the noise stopped.
Vigil 2 Travel and Tourism
Room 1
When we were in the corridor leading to Room 1, I felt quite uneasy and a little apprehensive. When we sat down in the room I felt a pressure in my neck leading up into my head which seemed to come and go the whole time we were in there. We sat at a table and called out in an attempt to move the table. I felt slight vibrations but nothing strong. A coin was then set up on the table and we all moved away. I was looking at Emma as she was calling out when I saw a shadow move quickly from Emma to the small room in the right had corner. Emma said she had felt something near her and while Jackie was testing the temperature I saw a white sparkle which looked like it was either above Emma’s head or in the left hand corner of the room.
Room 2
I sat down but immediately got up as I did not feel comfortable in the seat, I am not sure it if was because it was looking into the other room or not. I didn’t feel comfortable in the room initially but the feeling went after a couple of minutes and I felt nothing else in this room.
Vigil 3 HR and Learner Services
In the HR room we used the automatic writing set I took a turn in calling out but nothing came through. I didn’t feel anything in this room.
Learner Services Room
We tried glass divination; I felt a few very slight movements but nothing more than that. I said aloud that I didn’t believe there to be anything in the room with us and asked to be proved wrong but nothing came through.
Vigil 4 Performing Arts Centre
This room was very large and very dark and initially I felt quite un-nerved. We went up into the observatory area and I felt far more relaxed.
We moved back to the table near the stage and began using the Ouija board. Movement started almost straight away, as it began I felt a real strong cold coming from under the table, I asked if this was being caused by the spirit, the answer ‘yes’. This was my first time using an Ouija and I was overwhelmed. I felt a combination and happy and sad while using it. We determined that we were speaking to a young lad called Louis who said I reminded him of his mother, at this point I felt freezing cold on my leg as if someone had sat on my knee, this happened a couple of times during the vigil. Louis said that he has a message for me but it was very difficult to work out what he was telling me. He did give the name of a family friend but we could not work out the message. Louis came across very playful and friendly and I felt totally at ease with him being with us, I had the feeling he was laughing with us quite a lot. I felt a little sad leaving him at the end of the vigil. I was utterly impressed with what happened in the room and hoped I would get another chance to speak to Louis in the future.
Vigil 5 The Dining Room
When we held hands I felt as though someone was behind me and when Val began calling out I felt a cold breeze going around us. I felt mixed feelings and wondered if Lewis was there as well as other sprits. Val started laughing and we then began to think Lewis was with us and this is how he had made us feel in the Performance room, I too started laughing and felt very happy and giggly. I called out to Louis and asked him to touch one of us. I felt exceptionally cold at the back of my legs and on my bottom, as if someone very small was hugging me from behind or hiding behind me. I said aloud that my bottom felt cold and Jackie said ‘get off her bottom Louis’ instantly the cold feeling was gone. When Jackie said she felt the same feeling she had in the Flat I felt the cold back behind my legs again. Towards the end of the vigil when Jim was thanking the spirits that had been with us the cold left the back of my legs and I returned to feeling normal.

I was team leader for the first time on this investigation; I enjoyed it though a little apprehensive about it. I think the team had a good night.
Vigil 1 The Flat
We first went into the back bedroom and sat here for a while to see if we could hear anything unusual and to familiarise ourselves with our surroundings. We then did some calling out with no responses. I got the team to call out in turn so they could all get used to it and they all did very well. We then went into the lounge, Simon decided he wanted to sit in the cupboard for a while which he did while the rest of us created a circle to get some energy going. I felt calm and comfortable, we did hear a few bangs and knocks but they could all be explained away by natural causes. I did feel a breeze on my right hand several times but again, as I was standing by the door, the partially open loft hatch could explain this. Another team member was receiving a lot of feelings and eventually got uncomfortable so I asked if the spirit was happy here and we got the answer no, I then asked if she could see a light and the response was yes, I then said that it was ok to go towards the light and after a couple of minutes everything was calm in the room. I’m unsure if I actually helped cross someone over or not but the feeling was a good one anyway.
We then moved to the corridors outside the flat and we stood silent for a while and we all heard what sounded like footsteps at the other end of the corridor, I went to investigate but no one was there. No matter what end we stood we heard noises coming from the opposite end. I felt very eerie in these corridors and felt like we were being watched.

I called out with no response. Again I asked the team in turn to call out but we had no response. I had my back to the white board and could feel someone standing directly behind me, just then a member of the team saw a shadow behind me and then the feeling disappeared
Room 2
I felt calm and peaceful in this room, I felt a cold breeze in the centre of the room but this was put down to a hatch on the wall.

I felt fine in this room, very calm. We attempted the automatic hand writer but we got no responses. I could not feel anything in this room so we decided to move to the HR office.
HR Office:
Again I felt calm and peaceful in the room. The team participated in glass divination but we only received minimal movement.
Vigil 4 Performing Arts Centre
This was most certainly the most active room for me. It was very creepy, maybe because of the size of the hall and the darkness with all the curtains and dark spaces. We first went up onto the balcony to take some photographs and I felt ok up there. We then came down and sat at the Ouija board, after a while of calling out we got some amazing movement on the glass and I felt very happy. We contacted a little boy called Louis and I just wanted to laugh along with him, he was a very cheerful lad. I was sad to have to leave the hall at the end of the vigil.

I felt absolutely fine during the séance here, I was pleased that Louis came back to say goodbye to us. Thanks Val and Ken for a great night and giving me the opportunity to be team leader.

Vigil 1 Flat and Corridors
Upon entering the small room I felt uneasy. I left as soon as possible. Upon entering the main room I did not have much response. It was only after we had joined hands and Emma started asking questions that I became aware of an icy feeling all down my back and legs. I then experienced what I can only describe as an icy finger running down my back. I was not afraid but I must admit I was un-nerved. Emma then started asking more questions and the feeling on my back got to the stage of the finger running up my back for yes and running down for no. I must admit that I did not feel fear but was really astounded that I had these feelings straight way. It almost took my breath away when the feeling was happening. I was also shivering at one point and I had one hot hand and one cold.

I did not have much response in these rooms. I felt unaffected much of the time and just had feelings of hot and cold but not to extremes.

Yet again I did not have much response in these rooms. I did feel an element of calmness.
Vigil 4 Performing Arts Centre
I had expressed an earlier reluctance to participate in the Ouija board because I had only heard bad things about them. I decided to go ahead with it as it was in a controlled area. When the glass started to move I believed one of the party to be pushing it but there was one point when we only had our nails touching the top of the glass and I began to believe it was moving on its own accord. I was spell bound to think that we had really reached something. I also began to have a feeling of happiness when we learned more about the spirit. It was almost childlike feelings. I was happy and relaxed while we talked and investigated. I was sad to leave Louis and to have to say goodbye when we left and I called out goodnight Louis 3-4 times as we were leaving because I did not like to think that we were leaving him. (Perhaps the mother instinct arose).
Vigil 5 The Dining Hall
When we were all in the circle and felt light and happy and almost serene until I yet again experienced the woman running her finger up and down my back. I again felt one cold hand and one hot while this was going on and also icy cold down my back and legs (almost as if I was standing with my back against ice). The name Elizabeth popped into my head from nowhere and that was quite un-nerving.

In this room I saw tiny lights above the bookcase and door like small sparks.
I had been in here for quite a while then I could smell the aroma of something I can only describe as sweet pipe tobacco.

I called out to spirit in here but nothing came through, I felt relaxed and calm throughout.
Caretakers rooms/ and corridors
Vigil 2 Flat and Corridors
I didn't pick up to much at all from the flat apart from quite a chill in there.
In the corridors I felt very uncomfortable first of all especially towards the end of the corridor, but that seemed to pass after a while. I heard lots of unexplainable noises and a loud bang
from along the corridor as well.

I called out to spirit in here but there was no response, also I did glass divination but all was quiet I had no other experiences in here.

HR This room to me was very quiet with no activity, I felt calm in here.

I tried automatic hand writing in this room and although the pen moved slightly it did not indicate anything unusual. No occurrences in here.
Vigil 5 Dining Room
We all formed a circle holding hands calling out for spirit to come and join with us but I felt no response apart from the back of my legs seemed to be getting colder from a slight breeze.

When I was in learner services room I felt very much at ease although, it did feel as though time had slowed down. I did notice that this room had a heavy presence after I left this room.

I felt very calm and relaxed. I did not experience anything else in either room.

I was excited about the prospect of experiencing something within this room. We tried the Ouija Board but got no response. We also tried throwing a coin to see if it would be thrown back but again, nothing happened. The only interesting thing that happened whilst in here was that we all heard a loud bang, as though a door was slammed shut with a lot of force, from outside the centre on investigation, I could find no cause of the bang. When speaking to the other groups, they too heard it but again could not explain it. I didn’t feel or experience anything else whilst in here.

I felt extremely uneasy about leaving one of the Bedrooms. I felt as though someone or something would be waiting around the corner.

At the end of one of the corridors, there is a small classroom with about three desks in it. I was sat at one of the desks, when I felt a cold breeze. As I was sitting next to a window, I put it down to that. As we were calling out, I felt a sharp prod in the middle of my lower back. I cannot explain what it was as I was not next to anything that could prod me in the back.

At the start of the evening, my group had four members however, due to prior arrangements, Laura and Louise had to leave, leaving only Steen and Myself. Due to the number of people, I was extremely apprehensive about what I would experience, however, my apprehension was false. As much as Steen and I tried, we got no response to anything. We tried being polite, rude, aggressive, timid, pleading, begging, doubting but we had no response.

This room was very quiet!! You couldn’t hear the outside traffic or any other noise. To me, it felt like being in a coffin buried deep underground. I didn’t feel any presence with us.

Vigil 2 Performing Arts Centre
I felt that there was something going on in here; there was a presence, but nothing was coming through!! I could see in my mind’s eye a priest walking through a field; possibly from before the building was built.
I saw various shadows from behind the curtains, but upon investigation there was nothing there. It felt like someone was watching us from a distance, but wouldn’t come forward.
When I came back to replace the camera by myself I felt the ‘watcher’ present, but it wasn’t a nice feeling. I felt VERY uncomfortable!! I could feel something was next to me and at that same moment, Ken called me on the radio and told me that a ‘light anomaly’ went across the screen where I felt the presence. I had to leave as the feeling was quite overwhelming!!

Flat: There was something about the hallway that we all didn’t like, but the rooms seemed fine.
Vigil 4 Tourism and Travel
Rooms 1 and 2 are adjoining classrooms and whichever room we were in it felt like something was in the other (as we could here noises; knocks, clicks, taps etc.). Nothing came forward to us during the vigil.
Vigil 5 Dining Hall
There was one corridor leading to the dining hall that I didn’t like!! I could see a figure moving backwards and forwards from the corridor entrance. I didn’t like the presence and I believe that it was the same entity from the performing arts centre
Conclusion
The majority of the evening was quite quiet, but very interesting!!

Whilst walking up the stairs in the flat I felt as though something was walking behind me. Once in the lounge it was mentioned that there was a cupboard in the corner. I decided to stand inside with the door shut. During my time in there I saw a bright green flash and about five seconds later the left side of my face was very hot just as though I had been burnt. Throughout the rest of the flat I felt fine; I heard footsteps along with the rest of the team. Overall I found this vigil very interesting.

During the whole hour I was in these rooms I felt completely at ease and would have been happy to have sat in there on my own.

In both of these rooms I felt completely fine and did not experience anything spiritual, however I we did find the “biscuits”.
Vigil 4 Performing Arts Centre
After walking around in here taking photographs I joined with the team for a séance. A short time later I stepped out of the séance to continue the vigil reports. I did not experience anything unusual in here.
Vigil 5 The Dining Room
I felt very relaxed and calm all throughout this vigil.
Conclusion
Overall I felt this investigation was very good from start to finish.

I sat on the floor in of the room 1 and felt quite cold but experienced nothing. In room 2 I felt warmer, and this room had a smoky smell to it. Standing in a circle and holding hands with Jacqi for a séance I could feel her hand getting colder when she said she could feel someone brushing against her. I felt nothing else in the flat

It was very cold and scary in this area of the investigation. It was creepy and did not want to stand anywhere alone. I did not get a nice feel from the rooms in the flat and picked up on a male spirit that held a lot of anger as I felt he was angry and was pacing up and down the corridor. It was unpleasant. I called out and did not get much of a reply. I stood in the hallway for a couple of seconds by myself and did not like the feeling I got. It was a cold bitterness I felt in this area and felt a lot of angry energy. We all soon left this area
Corridor
I felt as if I was being watched from a distance in the corridor as if someone was with us but was very unsure of us and what we were doing. My head felt very heavy and as if there was a lot of pressure around me and felt a little distorted. I felt a bit on edge walking around the corridors. No activity came forward in this vigil area.
Vigil 3 Performing Arts Centre
This room felt very open and cold. I felt there was more than one spirit in the room with the group. I picked up on a male spirit but could not get a name. I held an Ouija experiment on the table that was in the room. I called out but there was no reply. I asked if there was a presence with us that would like to communicate, but nothing. After several questions there was still no reply however there was an amount of energy around the table as if there was too much energy to slowly move the glass. I felt a lot of energy from under the table as if the table wanted to lift. I pick up on the name of Johnny and also as if there was some religious presence in the room. It definitely felt like a male presence maybe a priest or someone of the cloth, but did not get any reply.

In the Adult learning room I did not pick up on any activity. I felt very calm in this room however it did have a clinical feel to it as if it was a ward or waiting room
The room remained a constant temperature throughout the investigation. I felt a presence of a small boy in this area. He must have only been fairly young. The name Matthew came to mind and he was only small however no activity came through in this room.

In this room it felt friendly, cosy and a happy atmosphere, a lot different to the previous room. The room was warm and inviting. I felt extremely calm and very comfortable in the room but did not pick up on any activity in this area.

This area of the investigation I felt was horrible. I picked up on a presence with us just walking around the hall way and into one of the back rooms. I did not get a nice vibe from this room and it felt like there was a lot of anger and torment in this room. It was creepy and not very pleasant. I felt like I always had to stand with my back to something and did not want to walk around, I felt a little scared in this area and was happy to leave
Corridor
I felt as if someone was with us throughout this vigil just watching from afar, but when I called out nothing come through. It felt quite eerie and I did not like the feeling around me. It was very cold and extremely quite.

This room felt very open and eerie, I felt as if there were several presences in the room with us. I picked up on a male spirit but could not get a name. Throughout the Ouija experiment there was an intense amount of energy around us. I could feel a large force of energy around the table at the time of the investigation as if there was too much energy to slowly move the glass. I saw a figure of a man which appeared from the curtain which did make me jump and a bit nervous. I could not make out any details just a medium height man wearing a robe which was cream.
