Introduction
The night was cold and on entering this building straight away there was eeriness about it. We found a room to be our hub for the night and no sooner had we placed our equipment down we experienced banging of doors, voices from both of the corridors alongside the hub unexplained knocking from the front of the building, we could not wait to divide into our teams and investigate this old derelict building. What did the night have in store for us all, were we in for a shock? Read on…

Team 1
Room 1 Far end of left corridor
Val called for spirit, all heard something fall to the floor where Gary was standing but nothing was found, Louise had the name of Derek to mind. Three flashes of light were seen in the corridor by Gary and Louise. Temperature reading 17degrees no EMF reading.
Room 2
Val feels apprehensive in this room, Gary calls to spirit the middle of the room feels colder than the rest. Gary and Pat feel something pulling at their leg, Val calls for spirit to come forward and then heard footsteps. Pat takes a photo and thought she saw the outline of a man. The radiator then banged twice. The team feel as though they are being watched, especially Gary. Gary calls to spirit and a knock is heard on an old chair followed by another knock.
Room 3
Val asks for spirit to communicate and a knock is heard by all in the far right corner of the room; again Val calls out and has the name of Janet to mind. Pat hears a woman’s soft voice.
Pat Louise and Val then hear the woman’s soft delicate voice. We then all heard a bang from above us on the ceiling although no one is above the room. Val feels a gentle touch on her back. Temperature reading 10.8 degrees No EMF reading.
Room 4
All team feel fine in this room Val has a tickle in her throat and feels cold temperature 9.2 degrees EMF reading 0
Corridor
Pat can smell urine as though it’s a slouch room of a hospital, temperature reading 18 degrees no EMF reading. Louise has a headache walking along the corridor, then Val feels the same. All hear “Tony says hi” Val responds by calling to spirit and asks for spirit to copy her by calling out HELLO, no response. Louise is feeling sick. A tap sound is heard in the corridor no other occurrences.
Room 5
Louise feels sick in this room also, a tap sound is heard by all. Val said the sounds being heard are like aliens talking and she has the name of Norman Bates in mind. Temperature 10.8 no EMF reading.
Room 6 and 7
No occurrences at all in these areas.
Hub
Team hold glass divination in here and Pat gets a shock off of the glass. Louise feels as though she is on a boat swaying back and forth.
Room 1 Far end of right corridor
Temperature 16 degree EMF 0 Val calls to spirit sounds coming from the next room no occurrences here.
Room 2
Louise feels uneasy in this room temperature reading 17 degrees EMF 0. Louise is very jumpy. In the little room to the side Louise feels as though she is in a butcher shop she sees meat, red meat hung up to bleed. Val throws three corks and asks for their return but no response.
Room 3
Val does not feel comfortable in this room; we take turns in calling for spirit but no response. A cork is then thrown in the pathway of Pat, it was not kicked by any of the team, we took no corks in this room with us, Louise and Gary went back to the previous room to see how many corks were on the floor that we had thrown and there still remained three corks. Louise thought she saw a black dog in the doorway. No other occurrences in here.
Hub
While we were taking a break there were banging’s and clonks coming from all different areas of the building.
Upstair construction crew room
The whole group assembled here and held an Ouija séance.

Many questions followed but there was no response Val, Jim, Pat, Becki and Emma try table tipping and as soon as Val asked for spirit to join them the table started to rock, slowly at first then gathered speed of rocking, Val kept on talking asking spirit to lift the table and the rocking became more prominent, then stopped in the silence a huge bang came from the skirting board area. Louise sees shadows out in the corridor, table tipping continued again and another loud bang was heard by everyone.
Then again glass divination was tried for a second time. The glass started twisting and then moved to Pat.

Another loud bang occurs.
Many more question followed but no response. Séance closed
Ken then saw a shadow go pass the door to the right. Val asks spirit to confirm they are still with us a bang was heard by Gary standing by a cupboard, followed by another huge bang outside the room. Ken calls out no response, Val calls out and Emma hears footsteps. Gary whistles and Val calls to spirit but no responses. Becki and Jacqi hear voices in the corridor, and the group hear giggling.
Team 2
Bottom left corridor
Room 1
On entering this room the team could smell vomit, Jacqi asks for spirit to make themselves known and went freezing cold. Ken was having trouble with the walkie talkie picking up a radio station. Ken called to spirit and a sound was heard at the back of the room, Ken said something was trying to come through on the walkie talkie then hears a sound from behind him, then another sound that was heard by all the team. Ken asks if the sounds they heard were from any staff that had worked here, no response. Despite Ken calling to spirit and Becki throwing debris across the floor no other occurrences took place in this room. Temperature 10/11 degrees No EMF reading
Room 2
All team feel cold in this room temperature 7/8 degrees EMF 0 All team hear a voice, Ken called for quiet and all hear footsteps. Becki hears a sound by the door. Jacqi has the feeling that she does not want to look up, the EMF meter bleeped. We can all hear voices although there is no one on this floor. Ken asks for spirit to communicate and all hear a loud bang. Emma asks for the spirit of Louis to join with them, to come and play, Becki asked him to hold her hand, Emma and Becki are really feeling cold. All decide to go into the corridor and upon leaving the room all hear another loud bang.
Corridor Temperature here 7/9 degrees EMF 0 Ken calls to spirit but no response.
Rooms 3 and 4
No occurrences at all in these rooms.
Room 5
Ken again asks for spirit to come forward Emma, Jim, and Becki hear footsteps from outside the room. Emma has the giggles and could not stop. Becki has a terrible pain in her knee; Emma called out for the spirit of Loui and got the prickles down her neck. Becki saw a flash of light but not from a camera down the corridor so the team move again into the corridor, temperature 11/14 degrees no EMF reading. At he end of the corridor where the wire mesh was in place as a barrier everyone heard a whistle, when Becki and Ken called out the whistling became more frequent. The sensor light kept going out every time we asked for spirit to join with us. Emma heard a breath coming from the corridor.
Top left corridor
Room 1
Becki asks for spirit to make themselves known and Becki hears a noise from the corridor. Ken asks if the figure 6 or the letter A means anything to spirit, no response.
Room 2
Jacqi and Becki both hear a woman sigh, then Jacqi thought she heard a groan. No other occurrence here.
Room 3
Whilst the team were talking a noise was heard from the floor, on investigation a hypodermic needle was found in the middle of the room. Becki and Emma hear a voice say “OI” Jacqi feels uncomfortable and the others all agreed. A noise was heard by all at the back of the room. Becki asks for spirit to knock and all heard a knock in response. Emma feels someone is touching her head, and then all hear a cabinet door moving.
Downstairs right corridor
In the corridor Becki felt something hit her head and Jim heard a whoosh sound, Emma’s pen that was placed on the paper moved on its own, all hear a sound , Ken calls out and the noise continues, we moved into a room off the corridor, Ken knocked on the wall and a knock came back from the opposite side, Ken again asks spirit to copy him and knocks again and immediately a knock is heard in response, from again the opposite side to where Ken knocked. Becki stood on one side and Ken on the other side of the room and asked for spirit to knock again, this time the knock that came back was in the middle of the room, then another from above as well as knocks around the walls. Every time Ken asked for a knock the response was immediate. We asked if spirit was man, woman, boy or girl a knock was heard on boy. There followed silence then a huge bang from inside the room on the wall, everyone jumped at the sound of it. No other occurrences in this room
On the way back to the hub the team heard a noise on the floor on investigation found a round metal object with the word “PENDING” on it. Where it had come from no one knows.

Val
As group leader I would like to say a big thank you to everyone for remaining calm throughout an active night like this. The chatter and atmosphere in the hub during our breaks kept us all sane. Ken and I are very proud of you all.
Due to the Christmas holidays and parties we had a smaller team to investigate this old derelict building in Surrey, we were all happy and relaxed and were looking forward to our investigation, as soon as we reached the hub unexplained sounds were heard by us all, from where they came from I could not say. The whole night was eventful, objects thrown at us, doors slamming, banging’s on the walls, and even went we sat quiet on our breaks sounds were being heard in the corridors. The séances that we held were fruitful with much information coming through. I have never had so much unexplained activity on a night’s investigation as this. I would love a return visit here in the near future. MPI would like to thank the authorities for giving us the opportunity to investigate this old building.
Ken
This investigation has to be the most active one I have ever done. The activity went on all through the night, so many unexplained happenings not just in one area but everywhere. I was in team 2 and as an experienced investigator I thought all of them were fantastic, all nervous, but keeping calm, (very professional) Jacqi was team leader for the first time and looked after us all, well done Jacqi! I keep on asking myself where did those bangs come from and who was whispering in there, who was throwing things at us? I only hope I can go back there to find out. It was a brilliant investigation.

Wow, what a night. Unexplained knocks and bangs, sounds like doors closing when no-one is there, whispers and items thrown at us including a hypodermic needle!
There was lots of movement on the glass during glass divination and so many more unexplained noises. It sounded like someone else was in the building with us which was impossible. Knocks were being made in response to the team asking questions and knocking ourselves, and after much lengthy investigation we could find no source.
I had a fantastic night and was probably the most active investigation I have ever been on. Many thanks to out hosts.

I really enjoyed last night. Kept us on our toes all night. I have been trying to get an explanation myself about those noises and cannot come up with anything logical!!
The night started off with the team having a walk around and us hearing some strange things! In one room we experienced something uncanny. It sent shivers down my spine. Only a few orbs came out on the photos .We had activity on the table tipping which was very interesting as it was my first time to experience that and also the Ouija board had a lot of activity if not a bit bizarre in what it was trying to tell us. We had had a couple of scares earlier in the evening with banging doors when everybody was together in one room.
On the whole I thoroughly enjoyed the whole evening even when things were thrown at us.

Well the evening for me started as soon as we walked into the hub, I don't think we even managed to put our bags down, when "bang" that was the first one followed by another, at first must admit I thought it was a team member setting up equipment, until i realized we were all in the hub together, there was nobody setting up at that time, this continued on and off for another twenty minutes or so, so must admit I and the rest of us were getting rather spooked already and we hadn't even started our walk around.
The walk around went ok for me but still with the odd bangs here and there which we could not explain as we were still all together, but I will admit by the time we had finished yes, I was well and truly spooked. So with everyone in high spirits themselves we set of for our first vigils, It was in the first room we went to we had been in there only a short while and I wasn't sure if something had dropped next to my foot or something was slightly pulling on my trousers down by my foot, this only lasted a few seconds but it didn't worry me at all. We carried on to investigate the rest of the rooms to which I felt comfortable in we were hearing noises in most of them at one point I know I heard what seemed like a lady whispering, which I believe was heard by Louise as-well.
We went back to the hub to do our last vigil on that floor, we tried table tipping first but did not have much luck with that so we then used the glass on the board, we seemed to connect with spirit nearly straight away, but the glass kept coming over to me, when I went to put my finger back on the glass I nearly shot out of the chair as I seemed to get an electric shock go straight up my index finger, and I must admit it tingled for quite a while so was a bit dubious putting my finger back on the glass in-case I got another one.
Well we were certainly not going to be disappointed by the next lot of vigils either I think in most of the rooms we picked up on something, I remember Val throwing corks in one room to see if we would get a response back, but nothing happened, we went into the next room and felt we were maybe not alone, as I started to walk towards the door something landed just past my feet, at that point I did not stop to see what it was, just remember heading back rather quickly towards Val and Louise babbling something has landed behind me oh S... oh S...t. Louise said she saw something she believes come across between her and me when we looked it was a cork, well by this time it was another change of underwear, and I don't think I was the only one (was I Val)
In another room we tried a vigil on the Ouija board again the glass kept heading towards me, but nothing made to much sense. Again we held a séance all together as there was quite a lot of activity coming from one of the end rooms with very load banging coming from inside this room to which we could not explain,
Again the glass headed towards me, but this time started to make sense of what was being spelled out, it was a relative that had come through and was saying things that only I would know with the age and spelling of her name, that I found very exciting.
So to sum everything up it was a fantastic evening with a lot of activity everywhere, and hopefully we can go back

This has to have been the best investigation so far!
The atmosphere was apparent as soon as we entered the building and soon we were hearing unexplained bangs and noises before we had even started, we knew the evening was going to be good to say the least!
In one class room I was convinced I could hear whispering and a woman’s voice.
Though we picked up on so much during the evening (even in the hub where we heard room doors banging) I have to say the best parts for me were when we were in a room and we were all around a table everyone was accountable and we could all see each other’s hands when Jacqi called out we heard something hit the floor making a ‘ting’ sound also Jacqi and I thought we saw something go across us, when we turned on our torches we saw a hypodermic needle on the floor where the ‘ting’ sound came from, it was very unnerving that such a dangerous item had been thrown. A few moments later me and a couple of the others heard a voice within the room, it was growly and rough and sounded like ‘Oi’ said very slowly. It was very scary and I cannot think of anything else that could have cause the needle to be thrown or the voice.
The second great experience for me was when we were on the ground floor left hand side corridor and I suddenly had a horrible stabbing/burning pain go through my knee, it lasted about 20 seconds then went completely, I wasn’t a pain I experience before. I had the distinct feeling there was someone in the corridor watching us (that’s when I took a picture in which I can see what looks like a boy watching Ken!) We were hearing noises and stood in the corridor to see if we got a response. I whistled and we all heard whistling back. As we moved closer to the end of the corridor I heard a definite whistle different to the previous ones we had heard. Also while there the motion sensor which only lights up when someone walks past it was frequently lighting. It went out and I said, please come back so we can see you are with us and again the sensor lit up. It was down here that we saw some flashes of light, at first I thought it was the other group but then realise there was no window for the light to come through where the flash was seen so I am still unsure about that one.
The third highlight of my night was on the ground floor right hand side, as we were walking to the first room, I felt a rush of wind go over my head and felt like I had been touched, Jim who was behind me and slightly taller than me felt the same thing.
When we got into the far room Ken said that he could hear something in the corridor, when we waited to hear a noise we heard a definite tap/bang just outside the room. On closer inspection the bangs continued but seemed to move every time we got closer. It then seemed to be coming from another room. The knocks and bangs seemed to be in reply to every question we were asking, if Ken kicked one wall the return knock came from the other wall. When Ken and I both kicked each end of the wall and I asked the spirit to choose one of us to reply to the knock came from the middle between us! When asked to do something different knocks and taps were heard from above!
It went quiet and we could not get anymore noises, they just stopped. We were calling out but nothing, as we were finishing an almighty bang happened right next to me! I jumped, and then slowly moved away! Amazing but very frightening!
When we were walking back down to the hub (I was walking at the front) when I heard something on the floor and saw something come past me then heard a bang, we all shone our torches on the floor then saw a metallic object, I picked it up and it was like a small paperweight with ‘Pending’ written on it. We are all certain we did not kick it (it’s quite heavy and you would know if you knocked it with your foot).
It was a wonderful night and all the better that Ken was able to partake in the investigation, it was great having him as a team member. Also Jacqi did very well as team leader as it was her first time.
This was another unforgettable night with MPI.
By the way did anyone have any strange experiences when they got home?? I did!! Eeeeek!

The first room we went to along this corridor was a strange one. I didn’t see anything but heard a few things. All the other rooms on this level felt fine to me.
On another corridor all of the rooms on this level felt fine to me and I could easily spend time here on my own.
In one of the rooms I heard along with the other members of the group a knock coming from the room that we weren’t allowed entry to. In the room opposite, a cork was either thrown or dropped. I’m not sure which but we all heard it.
Last room of the night.
During this vigil questions were asked but nothing went on. There was a loud banging that happened a few times but apart from that I felt quite at ease.
