Introduction

MPI received an email from Mr X and immediately knew how worried he was that there was something happening in his home affecting himself and two young daughters. We arranged that Ken and I would have a chat to him previous to our investigation.
Upon entry to his home there was a very heavy atmosphere, we took EMF and Temperature readings in all rooms as the activity was not centred in one place. Mr X told us what had been taking place and he wanted it to stop. After the investigation we learned from Mr X that he had experienced his face being pushed into his pillow, lights appearing in the downstairs front room. His bath water on two occasions started sloshing backwards and forwards in such a way it was almost coming over the side of the bath. His daughters have both been touched on faces and legs and all often felt ‘cobwebs’ across their faces. He also felt very uneasy upstairs and felt he was being poked and prodded when in bed and saw a white mist in the corner of his bedroom.

On the night of the investigation Mr X accompanied us, his two young daughters were staying with friends, and we were joined by the following members of MPI

Readings

Ken had set infra red camera’s connected to DVD recorders in the hallway and stairs and in the girls bedroom was a locked off camcorder. Strange how both DVD recorders that were tested the previous evening and working fine were recording but the display counters on both sets would not work.

Mark walked around the house with Ken on the camcorder following him. Mark had the feeling that there was a male spirit present who had died during the war in a bombing incident and had been a fire marshal as he was for some reason not able to join the forces. Mark then believed a V2 bomber had crashed and the man was burnt to death, Mark visualised an explosion. Mark felt the spirit was unsettled and unhappy with people living in ‘his’ house. Mark also felt the man had died leaving a pregnant wife and possibly resented seeing Mr X living there with his children.

After the investigation Mr X informed MPI that he had the following information from witnesses of WW2 that on the opposite side of the road there used to stand the Middlesex Institution for Boys who took a direct hit from a bomb onto the boiler house that exploded and killed several men.
Was one of those killed the man who lived in this house?

The Investigation

Val, Emma and Jacqi went upstairs to the master bedroom. With all lights out Val asked for spirit to join with them, no response. Val then felt as though someone had touched her across her forehead very lightly. We all felt as though there was someone in this bedroom. Val was standing beside the bed looking through onto the landing, she sensed that there was someone there but after calling for spirit there again was no response.
In the girls bedroom the atmosphere was heavy Emma, Jacqi and Val felt very uncomfortable in here. Jacqi calls to spirit then Emma; it seemed that whoever was in here was just weighing us up. Jacqi felt something touch her arm. We came across a male spirit, not very pleasant, quite a grumpy man who was certainly agitated at us being there. As we looked out toward the landing it seemed as though a shadow had passed across although nothing was seen on the cam.
The study was quite different from the bedrooms. There were no feelings of us being ill at ease in here.

Becki, Pat and Louise took their turn to go upstairs and on the staircase Pat and Louise felt as though they had walked through cobwebs. In the study all girls felt very uncomfortable and asked for Mark our medium and investigator to join with them. Becki felt very unsafe crossing the landing to enter the girls bedroom and held on to the doorway. Pat and Louise again feel touching to their faces and hair.
Mark has the name of Stephen who died here or very close by in April 1941. Stephen had a wife who was pregnant and he was angry that he did not see the child grow up.
Becki saw a shadow behind Pat like a tall dark outline. Louise senses a female, and then Becki asks Louise if she usually stood with her hands behind her head, feet apart and her pelvis thrust forward, Louise suddenly moved and she did not realize she was standing like this as it was not the way she ever stood.
All team moves to the master bedroom and all hear a noise from the girls room so decide to go back in there. Becki calls for spirit to join them but there is no response. Mark feels we are not wanted here and is asked by the spirit what we are doing there in not so many nice words. Pat feels really uncomfortable in this room and moved her position.
Mark feels the landing has some kind of portal or point of activity and movement it is from this point that Mark believes this is a poltergeist and moves and throws object around. Mark has his back to the door and has pins and needles effect on his back. Becki has her side close to the door and is feeling wobbly and very unsteady. Mark continuously asks for spirit to affect him and not the girls. Becki feels a poke to her lower pelvic area and is not at all comfortable. Louise goes to towards Becki but sees a black shadow go between them on the floor which scars Lou so she steps away from Becki and goes to the others.
After Becky left the room the wardrobe door banged and when Becky was settled down stairs the door banged again

When I walked into the house I had a slight feeling of sadness but that soon past as we all gathered in the hub. On the walk around I was most affected by the girl’s bedroom. I found it cold and felt ill at ease. On the first vigil we walked upstairs and entered the bedrooms one at a time. Again, I was most affected by the girl’s bedroom. I certainly felt a presence in that room. I was also tapped on the head as soon as I walked in.

Throughout the night I kept feeling a light fluttering on my arms as if someone was touching me to let me know they were there. As it was my first private investigation I found it interesting and also completely different to the other investigations that I have been on. Our host was very generous with the coffee and that kept us going.

On the second vigil, we again went into the girl’s bedroom and a few members were affected by feeling that they were swaying and one member could not let go of the bedstead as she felt that she was being held. Our medium Mark decided to close the vigil down as he felt that the situation could have worsened.

Overall it was a great night and thanks to our host for allowing us into his home. I hope we helped..........

I had a great night and thank you Mr X for inviting us into your home, thanks for looking after us and supplying the much needed coffee and muffins!!
I felt an atmosphere in the house and it felt heavy and a little oppressive, on the walk around I especially felt uncomfortable in the girls’ bedroom.
When Pat, Lou and I went upstairs to start our vigil we were all very unsettled and felt unsafe so called for Mark to join us. I felt very unsafe at the top of the stairs and didn’t like crossing the landing I had a feeling like I could be pushed.
I could see dark shadows and saw a dark figure behind Pat in the girl’s room.
The most concerning part of the night was when I felt something poke me not hard but a definite poke to my lower pelvic area. This really scared me and I immediately wanted to leave the room so went back to the hub very shaken.
Later when I returned upstairs to the same room on a further vigil I experienced a burning sensation on my right arm followed by it becoming intensely itchy and I could not stop scratching, it felt hot and itchy. Jacqi asked for the sprit to stop affecting me and after a minute my arm went cold and then back to normal.
A very interesting night, very enjoyable even if scary, this was a great introduction to house investigations this being my first time.
