Introduction

Mrs X contacted MPI as she was experiencing a strange feeling that someone was living in her house with her.
She was quite happy and not fearful at all, sometimes pleased that she was not living alone with her beautiful four legged companion.
Mrs X had lived in the house for the past 6 years but always wondered who else she was sharing it with and invited MPI to investigate.

Investigators

Val Butler (group leader)
Ken Taylor (AV technician)
Becki Ephgrave (deputy leader)
Mark Lines (medium)
Simon Patterson (location researcher)

We arrived at the home of Mrs X at 9.00pm and were made very welcome by her and her 4 legged companion. Mrs X explained her situation to us but did not give us any more information at all.
Becki and Val carried out some baseline tests with a digital thermometer and EMF meter; there was slight fluctuation on the EMF meter by the window in the bedroom which read 0.5.
Simon had placed a digital Dictaphone on the computer table in the far left corner of the bedroom and another in the living room, also a K11 meter on the settee.

Mark requested that he walked around the residence on his own while the rest of the group stayed in the living room.

At 9.45pm we started our investigation.

The Investigation

Bedroom
Temperature 22.0 degrees except under the computer chair which read 20.0 degrees there was no reason for this change in temperature at all, no outside vents nearby. We all felt quite comfortable in this room. EMF meter readings being taken all the time we were in this room which only gave a slight reading in the same place as before when baseline tests were done. There were no occurrences in this room.

Living Room
Temperature reading 22.0 degrees all around EMF meter reading 0. Val has the vision of a lady aged late 40’s early 50’s and says the lady is saying “get the children out fire, fire” Although we were in the vicinity of a convent Val visualised the lady as a cleaner and not a nun. Val thought the lady was around the area but not connected to the property.
We all sat quietly for a while when Mark came across an elderly male spirit and said he did not die here, maybe a husband/father figure. He is slim and not above 6 feet tall. Mark goes on to say that while he walked around on his own this man was in the bedroom smiling and pointing to the bed, saying he could not get into the bed, Mrs X confirmed she slept in the middle of the bed so there would not be room for anyone to accompany her. Mrs X said she was touched while crying in bed. Mark continues telling us the gentleman says Mrs X is a good cook and loves the smell of dinner when it’s cooking and is also curious as to why we are there. Mark picked up on a dog that was very loyal to this gentleman and Mrs X confirmed this to be true. The initial C was connected to Mrs X and she confirmed to us her husband’s name began with C.
All group sat listening to Mark who said Mr C loved his cooked breakfasts, also he was attached to his car in fact they were almost inseparable.
Ken has the letters T.E come to mind Mrs X confirmed her father’s name wasted, Ken said that he is always around her and follows her. Mrs X 4 legged friend is attached to former dog, they interact together. Ken then has a strong smell of tobacco toward the kitchen area it is confirmed by Mrs X that her grandfather also with the initials T.E smoked tobacco.
Ken continued to say there was an old leather pouch, and that T.E used to rub a slice of tobacco in his hands to get more flavour out of it and that his hands were stained on the palms from rubbing it, also there was some newspapers rolled up by the fire ready to light his cigarettes, this was again confirmed to be true.

The K11 meter on the settee changes from green to orange.

Ken said the grandfather was a tall man who wore a flat cap and that he was laughing at the broken chair, the chair no-one was allowed to sit on. Ted then told Ken not to tell her “I have burnt a hole in the rug”, this again was confirmed by Mrs X to be true. Ken thought that a male goes to Mrs X bed at a certain time every night, and then continues to say Ted mends his shoes on an old shoe iron foot, he has a pair of brown Sunday best shoes that must only be worn on Sunday’s confirmed again by Mrs X.
Mark then has the strong aroma of tobacco by the kitchen door not a very pleasant aroma but similar to horse manure.
Investigation closed.

Mrs X then made us all a welcome cup of coffee and told us she was amazed at what had been come through on the night it was unbelievable she remarked to us as all was so accurate and she now felt so much at peace in the knowledge that her husband, father and grandfather were all looking after her.

MPI would like to thank Mrs X and her 4 legged companion who behaved impeccably for allowing us into her home and for making us so very welcome.
